GMK has served Still Hopes for more than a decade with interior design and construction projects ranging across the Life Plan Community’s entire continuum of care. Projects have spanned spaces located on the West Columbia campus that accommodate independent living, assisted living, healthcare, skilled nursing, memory support/dementia care, physical rehabilitation, wellness services, multiple dining options, entry ways/corridors, other common areas, and administrative offices.

Bistro Renovation & Pub Addition – Renovation of existing Bistro with a new build construction
Pub addition. Specified new furnishings and custom finishes, lighting for both spaces.
Procured and installed new furnishings.
(Completed Sept. 2022).

Hopewell Independent Living (5 levels) –
New Build construction including Resident
Unit finishes and Common Areas, Corridors furnishings, custom finishes.

Main Street (Independent Living) - Renovation and new construction including a bistro, casual dining, private dining, beauty shop, art studio, market and commons/lounge.

Bomar 2nd Renovation (Memory Support) - Renovation involving new flooring
and furnishings.

Jane Bruce 2nd Renovation (Health Care) - Renovation involving new flooring
and furnishings.

Rehab Suites – Converted the dementia unit into a rehabilitation center to capture a new market outside the resident community. Reprogrammed common spaces to provide a new rehab gym, bistro, training kitchen and offices. Furnished and installed new finishes and furniture in resident corridors and common spaces. Redesigned central bathing rooms to accommodate whirlpool spa.

Lowry Assisted Living (2 levels) – Furnished and installed new finishes and furniture in the resident corridors and added new lighting on the 2nd floor.

McDowell Independent Living (3 levels) – Furnished and installed new finishes in the resident corridors, living room and card rooms.(Completed Feb. 2011)
Administrative Offices – Furnished and installed new finishes and furniture
in the offices.

2nd Floor Lowry Renovation - Specified new finishes and lighting for the resident apartments, corridors and living rooms. Furnished and installed new furnishings. (Completed May 2011)

Jane Bruce Guignard SNF – Furnished and installed new finishes and furniture in the resident corridors, activity room and dining rooms. Added new lighting and cabinetry in the activity room.
(Completed Dec. 2009)

Bomar Assisted Living Dementia – The renovation drove a 33% increased occupancy. Reprogrammed common spaces to provide a new family-style kitchen, healthcare concierge desk, beauty shop and living room. Furnished and installed new finishes and furniture in resident rooms, resident corridors and common spaces. Redesigned central bathing rooms to accommodate whirlpool spa. Reconfigured and replaced lighting.
