During 2015 and 2016, Cypress Cove completed 100,000 square feet of award winning renovations and a residential new build. GMK Interiors provided full service interior design and procurement for the new and renovated areas of Cypress Cove.

The Cottage at Cypress Cove Memory Care Assisted Living (MCAL) Residences project was recognized with an “Award of Merit” in the 21st annual Environments for Aging (EFA) Design Showcase competition. Only 2 projects out of the 56 submitted were honored with the “Award of Merit” designation. The Cypress Cove project was specifically cited for its incorporation of a tunable circadian lighting system and holistic design features to support the needs of the residents with dementia.
In February of 2018, Cypress Cove’s 40,000-sf Memory Care Assisted Living (MCAL) Residences (The Cottage at Cypress Cove) was selected from among hundreds of MCAL communities by the Society for the Advancement of Gerontological Environments (SAGE) as the first site for extensive evaluation as part of a larger study of innovative designs that provide the best concepts in resident lifestyle living.
